What is Lund University Global Scholarship?
Lund University Global Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program offered by Lund University in Sweden to international students. The scholarship provides financial support to cover tuition fees and living expenses for students admitted to a full-time Masters program at Lund University. It is designed to support and encourage talented students from around the world to pursue their studies at Lund University. Scholarship grants may cover partial or up to the full tuition fee depending on the budget available to the programme/faculty. Who can apply for the Lund University Global Scholarship?
The Lund University Global Scholarship Program is open to international students who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a citizen of a country from outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) and be required to pay tuition fees
- Have made a complete application in a regular application round to Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies leading to a degree at Lund University
- Must have applied to the programme(s) they wish to study at Lund University through the online, national application website – www.universityadmissions.se – during the application period
- Must have paid the application fee
- Must be applying for the scholarship by the February 15, 2023 deadline.
How much does the Lund University Global Scholarship cover?
The Lund University Global Scholarship covers up to 100% of the tuition fee. Approximately €1.5 million / US $1.8 million is awarded in scholarship grants each year for international students. Scholarship grants may cover partial or up to the full tuition fee, depending on the budget available to the program/faculty. Please note that scholarships are toward tuition fees only and that living costs are not covered.
How to apply for the Lund University Global Scholarship?
To apply for the Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme(s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, www.universityadmissions.se during the application period (17 October – 16 January 2023) for studies starting in the autumn semester. Once you have made a complete application to a degree programme or free-standing courses of at least 30 ECTS credits and paid the application fee, you will be able to apply for the scholarship at the official website during the scholarship application period.
When applying for the Lund University Global Scholarship, you will need to upload a scholarship motivation letter of up to a maximum 600 words. The motivation letter must demonstrate your academic performance and explain your reasons for applying for the scholarship. The scholarship application period is open until 15 February 2023.
